IELTS WRITING TASK 1 - map of Garlsdon

The graph is a map of Garlsdon, where a new supermarket, symbolized as an S, is expected to be launched for the town, and there are two alternative locations.

A large square-shaped countryside is in the middle of the map, inside which there is a housing area, whose outline is resemble to the Australia’s, and where two industry lands are sited both within the north and south of it, just adjacent to the countryside. Relatively speaking, the northern one is shaped roughly like a square, while the southern one looks like a rectangle. The town center, which all traffic is banned, is almost situated on the northern boundary of the rectangle industry land.

One of the two options for the supermarket is located in the centre town, where there are four transportation lines available. One of them is the railway, going across the town centre from northwest to southeast, shaped like an S. The other road leads to Cransdon, 25km away in southeast, with a population of 29,000. Another road goes to Bransdon, whose population is 15,000, 16km southwest. The last line is to Hindon, 10,000 population, 12km northwest, leading the same direction of the rail way, between which option No.2 is located.
